Ohio University Football Player Charged In Connection With Assault

An Ohio University football player is being charged with felonious assault after an incident near Sergeant Hall, an OU dormitory.

Keith "Mike" Lucas, 19 is a red-shirt freshman from Chicago.

According to the police report, Lucas and four other men allegedly attacked another man causing serious facial injuries around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Lucas was arrested on Monday. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct. 25.

A university spokesman said they are aware of the situation and are gathering more facts.
