Some Ross County residents are expressing anger over plans to demolish a historic house to make way for a parking lot.

Ware Funeral Home wants to bring down a house located at 133 W. Second St. in Chillicothe.

The area is known for its well-preserved 19th century homes.

A sign outside the house reads, "Mr. Ware, don't tear down building."

There is no set date for demolition, but Ware Funeral Home said it does plan to bring the building down to make more room for parking.
