Police suspended the search for a man who led Ohio state troopers on a high speed chase overnight Monday.

The chase started at a state Route 32 rest stop in Pike county and continued 25 miles into Ross County.

Officers said the man, whose identity was not released, abandoned his white Chevy truck along Black Run Road, north of S.R. 772, and ran away.

Officers stopped the search because they said they found enough evidence to identify the man. Investigators said they planned to file a warrant.

There were no reports of injuries.
