Abduction Story Prompts Second Victim To Come Forward

UPDATED: Sunday October 14, 2012 9:17 AM

A woman came forward on Saturday to say she was attacked and nearly kidnapped in the Short North neighborhood in late August.

She said she was motivated to say something after hearing a similar story earlier this week.

"When I looked into the news article, I just broke down, and I started crying. It just brought back everything that happened to me," the woman said.

The woman told 10TV News her story by telephone because she lives out of state. She did not want her name revealed since her attackers were still at large.

She said she was assaulted in the 600 block of North High Street, where the latest victim was attacked.

"My friends had asked me if I wanted them to walk me to my car, and I said, 'no, it's just around the corner. I'll be fine,'" the second victim said.

A woman came up to her near an alley and attacked her, there dragged her toward a van with two men waiting inside, according to the victim.

She said the attacker left when some people passing by came to her rescue.

"It was quite a shock. And it scared me to know that this could happened to anybody at any time," she said.
