Residents voiced concerns about a potential homeless shelter on the west side.

Franklin Township trustees heard from residents Thursday night about the proposed shelter, that would be built on Industrial Mile.

Some who send their children to a childcare facility next door have concerns for their children.

“It’s very problematic for the west side to take on another resource like that,” resident Robyn Watkins said.

Franklin Township trustees decided to not support or oppose the homeless shelter. The decision was placed in the hands of the zoning board and Franklin County Commissioners.
