Authorities Investigating After Man Impersonated Officer, Pulled Over Teenage Girls

UPDATED: Thursday October 11, 2012 12:14 PM

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office has received a report of two separate incidents where someone pulled over teenage girls while wearing what appeared to be a police uniform.

Investigators said that a man driving a tan or gold minivan, possibly a Ford Windstar, pulled over two 17-year-old girls on two separate incidents.

The girls told sheriff’s deputies that the van had a siren as well as red and blue lights in the grill and windshield.

One of the girls described the man as having a mustache, wearing a black turtleneck with the letters “CPD.” She said that the man got out of the van, but then returned after saying that the call was canceled.

The girls described the man as in his 40s or 50s with dirty blonde balding hair and a thin build.

There were no injuries reported. The Licking County Sheriff’s Office asked residents to be alert.
