Police are searching for a man who made off with cash from a west side store.
According to police, a man entered the Family Dollar store, located at 5586 Hall Rd., and approached the clerk as if he was going to make a purchase at about 9 a.m.
The man gave the clerk a note that implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The clerk removed the register drawer and put it on the counter, and the man grabbed money and shoved it into a bag.
The man left the store on foot.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Columbus police at 614-645-4545.
