A Dublin police officer was fired after allegedly sending a picture of himself without a shirt on to a teenage girl.
Former Officer Tom Seeling had been on leave since July, when he was accused of sending the picture to a girl at the OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rink in Dublin, where he also was employed.
Dublin police said at the time that he did not break a law, but may have violated the values of the department.
An internal investigation just wrapped up, and Seeling was terminated, effective immediately, according to Dublin police officials.

Fraternal Order of Police President Jim Gilbert said that the FOP planned to appeal the termination because Seeling did not break the law.
Seeling had served on the Dublin force since March 2011.
