Authorities said Tuesday afternoon that Jackie Chidester was located safe.
A missing adult alert had earlier been issued for a 62-year-old man who walked away from the Ohio State Ross Heart Hospital.
Police had said that Chidester had a history of violent tendencies.
No details were released on where and when Chidester was located.
