Shooting Outside Hilltop Party Leaves Two Men Wounded

Two men attending a party early Sunday morning were shot when an argument escalated.

Police said the two victims were shot when they exited a house at 900 S. Hague Ave. around 1:20 a.m.  Steven Summers, Jr., 21, suffered gunshots to the ankle and thigh. James Baldwin, 20, was shot in the hip.

Authorities indicated both men were hospitalized and expected to recover from their gunshot wounds.

Investigators said Christian Chustz ran from the scene. Plainclothes officers located Chustz, age 18, less than a block away at 2888 Rosedale Ave. Police said they found a firearm nearby in some bushes.

According to detectives, witnesses positively identified Chustz as the gunman.

Police charged him with two counts of felonious assault.
