A judge sentenced Gary Freeland to two consecutive life sentences on Friday for crimes he committed in the 1990s.
Freeland was convicted by a Ross County jury on charges of rape, gross sexual imposition and felonious sexual penetration.
Jurors found that Freeland abused three children. He knew two of the victims through their families and tutored the third, according to authorities.
Freeland will serve 22 years in prison before he is eligible for parole, according to a release from the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
If released, he would have to register his address once every 90 days as a sex offender.
