Man Indicted For Allegedly Using Craigslist To Scam Ohioans Out Of $25,000

A man is charged with theft, fraud and money laundering in connection with an alleged Craigslist scam.

Nicholis Corey Garner was indicted for allegedly being a member of a large group that has used postings of cars, trucks and all-terrain vehicles on Craigslist and eBay in order to steal tens of thousands of dollars from people across the country.

According to State Attorney General Mike DeWine's office, Garner posted vehicles on online advertising sites using several aliases.

He allegedly instructed people to send money via Western Union to where he claimed to be located.

Garner allegedly would pick the money up but would never deliver the vehicle.

The Ohio AG's Office said that Garner stole $24,608 from Ohioans
