Homicide detectives were investigating a body found near Interstate 270 south Thursday morning.
The body was found on the east side, near Broad Street, around midnight. Police said that it appeared the car veered off the road and could not be seen when it crashed.
Police were combing through a nearby wooded area for clues. Authorities said that the victim appeared to have gotten out of the car, but died from his injuries.
Investigators used a cellphone ping to locate the victim. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
