Man Accused Of Raping 9-Year-Old Girl

A man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly raping the child of a family friend.

According to Newark police, 24-year-old Bobby M. Fuller was arrested for allegedly raping a 9-year-old girl.

A family member of the child who allegedly was raped told 10TV News that Fuller had been staying the girl’s home because he was down on his luck when he moved from Massachusetts to Ohio a year and a half ago.

Family noticed a change in the young child, and discovered the alleged rape.

Detectives said that Fuller, who is charged with rape, sexually assaulted the girl for the past year.

“You hear about it, you see it on the news, you read about it in the paper, and you just think that is disgusting,” said Joseph Elliott, a family member of the girl. “But, when it happens to you, you want to take things into your own hands. But you can’t.”

Family members said that other children could be involved, but police would not confirm if they were investigating other alleged victims.
