A man admitted to trying to steal a 62-year-old woman’s purse at west side Kroger store.
According to police, Richie Lee Dennison was arrested by Good Samaritans after he grabbed Rosemary Smith’s purse while she was leaving the Kroger store, located at 3600 Soldano Blvd., at about 10:47 a.m. Monday.
Smith fell over a motorized grocery cart and then onto the ground. Smith was treated by medics on the scene and then transported to a local hospital.
Dennison, 38, was detained by those at the scene and was taken back inside the store to wait for police. Police said that Dennison admitted to taking the purse.
There was no immediate word on charges.
