Two pedestrians were suffering from injuries Monday night after reportedly being hit by a vehicle on the far east side of Columbus.
One pedestrian was transported to Grant Medical Center and another to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after the crash, which occurred at the intersection of South Hamilton Rd. and East Livingston Ave. around 10:30 p.m. The two were walking across East Livingston at the time, according to authorities.
A Columbus police sergeant on the scene initially indicated the victims' injuries were critical. He later indicated the two were expected to be ok.
Police were diverting eastbound traffic from East Livingston south onto South Hamilton, and then east onto Dundee Ave. while they investigated and cleared the scene. Officers reopened the road at approximatedly 11:30 p.m.
