A winter weather advisory is in effect for parts of central Ohio until noon.
Authorities are investigating one vehicle crash that killed one person early Sunday morning.
Police said that Rummell A. Heller, 33, was killed when his Dodge Neon went off the road and struck a metal utility pole.
Heller was ejected from his car and died at the scene.
The crash occurred around 4:50 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Police had roads closed around East Fifth Avenue and Leonard Avenue while they looked into the accident. The roads were reopen just after 8:30 a.m.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
Investigators said that excessive speed is being considered as a contributing factor.
It is the 47th traffic fatality in Columbus this year.
