Landlord Connected To Deadly Christmas Eve House Fire Expected To Be Released From House Arrest

A landlord connected to a deadly Christmas Eve house fire was expected to be released from house arrest on Friday.

Sam Vazirani served 30 days in jail after admitting to renting out homes that were uninhabitable and has since spend an additional 142 days on house arrest.

Vazirani owned 12 properties at the time of his sentencing. He has sold 11 of the 12 homes.

Vazirani owned the home at 90 Wisconsin Ave. that burned and killed Jerrica Francisco, 22, Dayshawn Francisco, 4, and Demetrius Chappell, 33 on Christmas Eve 2011.

Columbus officials said that the home was supposed to be vacant at the time of the fire.
