Two brothers accused of playing roles in an August murder were behind bars Thursday morning.
Police said that one of the men barricaded himself inside his home near Fifth and Rarig avenues Wednesday evening.
According to police, both Franklin County and Columbus SWAT officials were called to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. Columbus Sgt. Rich Weiner said that police were at the home, located in the 3200 block of East Fifth Avenue, to serve a warrant to Markee Horton for complicity to murder.
Horton, who authorities said had been on the run for a month, was eventually arrested on a complicity to commit murder charge.
Police said that Horton allegedly drove the car that was used in the murder of Charles Rogers, 51.
Rogers was killed on North 22nd Avenue last month.
Horton's brother, Rufus, was already in custody for Rogers' murder. Authorities said they believe it was Rufus Horton who shot Rogers.
