An alleged assault at a Walmart store sent police on a chase through the streets of Grove City Tuesday morning.

Investigators said that the chase began at a Walmart, located along Stringtown Road, when an employee was assaulted. The man suspected in the assault, whose identity was not released, took off along state Route 104, with speeds reaching 70 mph.

The ride came to an end off Webster Drive, when the man reached a dead end at an apartment complex. Authorities surrounded the man and took him into custody. At least one person involved was arrested and charged with obstruction.
