Man Sentenced To 20 Years For Role In Death Of His Child's Mother

A man pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of a young mother of three.

According to The Marion Star, Bo Cook pleaded guilty on Monday to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Amy Aldrich, the mother of Cook's child.

Cook received 11 years on the voluntary manslaughter charge and three years on each the charges of having weapons under disability, tampering with evidence, and a weapons charge associated with voluntary manslaughter.

Cook, 25, shared a child with Aldrich, 30.

Prosecutors said that Cook hired a man named Raymond Bertuzzi, 28, to kill Aldrich. Bertuzzi's trial is set to start in November.
