A young boy found a gun and accidently shot his father while he was sleeping on Sunday.
Police released the identity of the father shot on Monday.
Walter J. Call III, 24, was shot at about 3 p.m. on Sunday at his home in on Scranton Avenue, according to police.
Police said that the boy, who is almost 3-years-old, found the gun while his father was asleep on the couch.
The only other person home at the time of the shooting was Call's 5-year-old daughter.
No one else was injured.
Police wanted to remind gun owners to make sure that their guns are secured.
