Man Robs, Stabs Person Near West Side Restaurant

A man was taken into police custody on Sunday night after allegedly robbing a person and stabbing him.

According to police, a man stole a bike from the Tim Hortons restaurant, located at 1451 W. Broad St., at about 9 p.m.

Police said that the alleged thief then stabbed someone in an alley near Broad Street and Lechner Avenue. The person was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police took the man accused of the robbery and stabbing into custody near Broad Street and Lechner Avenue.

The names of those involved were not immediately released. It was unknown if charges were filed.
