Boy, 16, Dies After ‘Car Surfing’ In Walmart Parking Lot

A teenager died on Sunday after being ejected from the hood of a car in Chillicothe.

According to Chillicothe police, the 16-year-old boy, identified as Jacob Wolfe, was riding on the hood of a car driven by an 18-year-old in the parking lot of a Walmart store, located on River Trace Lane.

Police said that when the driver hit the brakes, Wolfe was ejected and suffered severe head trauma.

The incident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Wolfe was taken to Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe and then was taken via helicopter to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, where he died.

No criminal charges have been filed, and Chillicothe police said that they were continuing to investigate the incident.
