Licking County Sheriff's Office dispatchers said that detectives were questioning a father accused of stabbing his adult son Thursday morning.
According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office, Ronnie L. Nixon stabbed his son, 22-year-old Ryan Nixon, in the neck after an argument. Dispatchers said that the incident occurred around midnight in Edgewater Beach.
Investigators said that the two were arguing about Ryan Nixon's relationship with a woman whom Ronnie Nixon did not approve.
The alleged victim was expected to recover from his injuries at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Deputies said that they witnessed empty beer cans at the scene, which Ronnie Nixon admitted to drinking with his son.
The events leading to the stabbing were under investigation. There was no word of charges filed.
