The Marion City School district sent out a phone message Thursday alerting parents about a possible child enticer.

The Marion City Police said a 9 year old girl was approached by a man in a tan SUV on Wednesday after she got off the school bus.

It happened at the Fairview Apartment Complex off of Libby Lane around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The alleged incident happened less than a mile from Taft Elementary School.

Police said the girl ran away when the man told her to come closer to his SUV.

The child was not injured.
