Traffic Stop Leads Trooper To Man With Loaded Handgun, Cocaine

Authorities discovered a stash of drugs on a man during a traffic stop.

Investigators said that a trooper with the Chillicothe post of the Ohio Highway Patrol pulled a vehicle over at Main and Bridge streets for a traffic violation.

The trooper searched the vehicle and discovered 10.4 grams of cocaine, 2.5 grams of heroin and nine packets of Suboxone.

A loaded handgun, which was reported stolen in September, and needles were also discovered.

The driver faces charges for possession and trafficking of drugs as well as felony weapons charges.
