Ohio University officials said a freshman student was found dead in his room Sunday evening.

Terrence J. Ambro, 18, was a history major from Wading River, N.Y.

The cause of death is under investigation, but the school said there were no "suspicious elements" or "foul play" suspected.

Ambro was living on the third floor of Washington Hall.

Students in need of support can call Counseling and Psychological Services anytime at 740-593-1616 or stop by the third floor of Hudson Hall during walk-in hours (Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) to speak with a counselor, according to an OU news release.
