The Madison County Sheriff’s Office tracked a man accused of assaulting a woman at a grocery store.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was taken into custody at a Madison County hotel shortly after noon on Friday.
The man is accused of attacking an 80-year-old woman at the Kroger store, located at 1585 Georgesville Square Dr., on Sept. 4.
The woman was hospitalized after the attack.
Authorities said that the man stole more than $1,000 from the woman, along with a necklace.
