A driver left major damage behind after crashing into a home Friday morning.
The driver crashed into a home, located along Forest Hills Boulevard, around 9:40 a.m.
The man who lived at the home arrived home shortly after the crash and found a man standing in his living room.
According to the resident, the man said, "Sorry man, I fell asleep."
There were no reports of injuries. The events leading to the crash were under investigation.
“I'm grateful to God that everybody's OK. I'm grateful that my mom is not dead, because she could have been,” said resident Jessica Jobarteh. “My son could have been here. We could have been here. I'm grateful that everything's OK and everybody's OK."
Jobarteh said that her bother and 2-year-old son had been in the living room when she left for work.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived, because I knew that my mother had been sleeping on the couch,” Jobarteh said.
The resident said that he did not have renters insurance but had an appointment next week with an insurance agency to establish renter's insurance.
The family said that their apartment manager was working to help them find a new apartment. They’ve contacted the Red Cross to help them find an immediate place to stay.
