A Scioto county man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Raymond Linkous, 35, of Wheelersburg was found guilty of killing Felipe Lopez, 24, in March.

Police said Linkous and two other men killed Lopez with hatchets and knives, and then set his car on fire with him in it to cover up the murder.

The other two men accused in the case are scheduled for trials later this year.

David Gerald will go on trial for the murder in October. Thomas Steinhauer has a trial date set for November.
