Emergency crews hospitalized a motorcyclist early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the motorcyclist lost control while riding down Cole Street and struck a parked vehicle around 4:22 a.m.
The motorcyclist, whose identity was not released, was thrown from his bike, which traveled several feet to the intersection of Cole Street and Linwood Avenue.
The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Police blocked Linwood Avenue between Cole and Mooberry streets during the investigation.
The events leading to the crash were under investigation.
