Officials with the Ohio State Board of Education revoked the teaching license of Marilyn Heistand on Tuesday.
Heistand was a teacher with the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow, or ECOT, which conducts classes online.
She was fired after school officials discovered that she had paid a former student to teach her class and grade assignments.
ECOT officials told 10TV News that they have changed the way the school operates to make sure something like that does not happen again.
