A man was taken into custody Monday morning for allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend.
Police said that they first received a call about a domestic disturbance around 11 p.m. Sunday. Detectives said that the man, whose identity was not released, forced his girlfriend into a car and drove around the Far East side.
Investigators used a phone inside the vehicle to track the man and caught up with the car near Dryden and Wyncrest.
The man was taken into custody and charged with abduction. The woman, whose identity was not released, was not injured.
The events leading to the abduction were under investigation.
