The Ohio Highway Patrol said one person was killed and three others taken to the hospital after a crash in Pike County early Saturday morning.

A car carrying four people crossed the median on state Route 32 near U.S. 23 when it was hit in the side by a pickup.

One female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. The two male passengers in the vehicle remain in critical condition at the hospital.

Another female passenger in the car was also transported to the hospital where she died.

She was identified as Alecia Lett, 18, of Waverly.

Authorities said there were containers of alcohol in the car but it has not been determined if drinking contributed to the crash.
