A man died after being crushed by a bull on Thursday.
William Logan Krebehenne was pronounced dead at Dublin Methodist Hospital shortly after 3 p.m. after being crushed by the bull at the Selected Sires Farm, located on U.S. Route 42.
The Union County Sheriff's Office said it received a call from someone at the farm saying that one of the employees was struck by a bull.
Deputies, along with Jerome Township medical personnel, were dispatched to the farm and took Krebehenne, 24, to the hospital, where he died.
Shirley Kaltenbach of Select Sires farm, said that Krebehenne was a seasoned and skilled employee.
"During a standard procedure yesterday that occurs more than 100 times a week, Logan, who was not in the pen with the bull, was pinned behind a gate and fatally injured. This is the first accident we’ve had of this magnitude in Select Sires’ nearly 50 years of existence."
The incident is still under investigation.
