Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Running Drug Ring Connected To Ohio State Tattoo Scandal

A man accused of selling drugs to the owner of the tattoo shop tied to the Ohio State University football scandal will spend 15 years in prison.

Rigoberto Gomez-Gomez, 33, was sentenced on Thursday for drug trafficking, money laundering, and operating a criminal enterprise.

Gomez-Gomez is accused of selling marijuana to tattoo shop owner Edward Rife, whose ties to OSU football players resulted in the NCAA investigation that led to former coach Jim Tressel's firing.
