A Washington man was sentenced for buying a gun and giving it to another man who allegedly shot and killed a Grove City man.

Colin T. Reedy of Bellingham, Wash., was sentenced to four years in prison and fined $5,000 and ordered to serve 300 hours of community service.

Reedy, 46, was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals after being sentenced on Thursday.

Reedy pleaded guilty in December to one count of making false statements in connection with the purchase of a firearm.

According to court documents, Reedy bought a 9 mm handgun in Seattle and signed the required documentations that he was purchasing the gun for himself.

Reedy's college friend, who allegedly wanted to kill his business partner in Ohio, asked Reedy if he could purchase the gun on his behalf.

Daniel Teitelbaum was charged with aggravated murder after his business partner, Paul Horn, was found shot to death in his apartment located at 3574 Gateway Lakes Dr. in March.

The murder trial currently is pending before the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.
