Authorities reopened downtown intersections and allowed workers back into city buildings after a suspicious package deemed safe.

The suspicious package was found in front of 25 S. Front Street. Authorities were on the scene before 10:25 a.m.

Crews evacuated a portion of City Hall and the entire Ohio Department of Education building while they investigated.

Investigators determined that the package was not a threat and allowed the intersections to reopen and workers to return to the buildings.

Several downtown intersections were closed during the investigation.

There were no reports of injuries.
