Fire officials are looking for the cause of a large fire near the Port Columbus International Airport early Wednesday morning.

The Big 8 Remodeling building, located at 2900 Ole Country Lane, was engulfed in flames by 2:30 a.m. The blaze could be seen from Interstate 670.

Rescue crews were forced to bring in several pumpers to supply enough water to battle the blaze. Plus, there were explosions coming from inside.

"After I heard the police cars coming, I heard the fire trucks. Then I heard some bangs so I didn't know what it was exactly," said neighbor Don Six.

Fire crews said that they had no choice but to let the building burn. It was considered a complete loss.

The owner said he had two vehicles and an assortment of tools inside the building.

There were no reports of injuries.
