Man Charged With Stabbing High School Student To Death Acquitted

A man accused of stabbing an Independent High School student to death was acquitted of murder charges on Wednesday.

Jerome Looney was accused of stabbing Khalil Prater on the sidewalk off of Benie Court in September 2011.

Prater, 16, was found with stab wounds to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Looney told the court that the stabbing was self defense.
