The Franklin County Board of Elections has decided that a Westerville tax repeal effort will not be on the November ballot.
The board voted 3-0 on the decision to remove what would have been Issue 52.
Taxpayers of Westerville Schools brought the issue to the ballot. That group said they plan to appeal the BOE ruling in court.
The effort was trying to repeal 6.71 mills of a 11.4 mill levy that passed in 2009. That number was chosen specifically because of a 6.71 mill levy that was passed in March but was not eligible to be repealed.
