A man was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after keeping officers at bay for hours.

Investigators said that Robbie Lee Mattly refused to come out of his Bellfrey Court home while police responded to a complaint at the home around 11p.m. Monday.

Police said that Mattly, who was accused of assaulting his wife, remained in the home for four hours until officers forced entry around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said that Mattly’s wife and daughter escaped to a neighbor’s home. Mattly was charged with aggravated menacing.
