Family members were searching for answers after a deadly crash.

Justin G. Capparuccini died when he crashed into an oncoming vehicle Sunday night along Clime Road, between Demorest Road and McCarley Drive.

A witness said that Capparuccini, 30, was riding with another person, who did not stop to help.

“If you were his friend, why did you leave him?” said sister Marcy Zehendner. “That’s all I want to know. How could you leave somebody like that? It just don’t make sense.”

Zehendner said that her brother died while doing what he loved.

“That was his getaway from everything,” Zehendner said.

Police were working to identify the other person riding with Capparuccini. Court records showed that the victim had an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension.

The events leading to the crash were under investigation.
