A Columbus man who fell into a manhole in east Columbus is out of the hospital
John Anderson said he was running when someone yelled for him about 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
As he turned, he said he fell into an open manhole.
Anderson said the fall left him unconscious.
"Try to protect myself from the top of my head and the next thing... I kind of woke up and I was being drug out of a hole," said Anderson.
Anderson said he suffered a concussion and whiplash but no broken bones.
The Columbus Utilities Department has not commented on the incident.
