Woman Struck By Vehicle During Alleged Robbery Attempt

An 11-year-old witness called police about a woman being struck by a vehicle after an alleged robbery attempt on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the woman, identified as Dana Skaggs, was struck shortly after 12:30 p.m. near Eakin Road and Midland Avenue on the west side.

Police said that Skaggs, 26, was trying to purchase a TV from a man, and when she came back to the man's vehicle to give him money for the TV, the man took the money and dragged her in his vehicle for about 15 feet before running over her leg.

Skaggs was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital with a broken leg and road rash..

Police were searching for a man in connection with the incident.

The incident was under investigation.
