Shots Fired At Home When U.S. Marshals Attempt To Serve Warrant

Investigators were on the scene of a deadly shooting near the Ohio State campus Friday morning.

According to investigators, U.S. Marshals arrived at a home, located along the 1300 block of North Sixth Street, to serve a warrant just after 8 a.m.

When the officers knocked on the door, shots were fired. It was later discovered that a person inside the home died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The identity of the person killed was not immediately released. The reason for the warrant was not immediately known.
