Man Arrested In Connection With Capital University Alleged Attempted Abduction

Authorities arrested Kurties R. Bryd, 43, of Canton on Thursday in connection to an attempted abduction that was reported early Wednesday morning at Capital University.

According to police, Byrd was spotted near the university's library, located on East Main Street. He was arrested minutes later by the Bexley Police Department.

Early Wednesday morning, an 18-year-old Capital University freshman reported that a man approached her and tried to grab her. Investigators said other people were also was approached by the same man.

No one was injured in the incidents.

Bryd was being held in Franklin County Jail on a charge of criminal trespassing.
