Westerville South High School students got a firsthand look on Wednesday at just how dangerous texting and driving can be.
AT&T, AAA, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol brought in a distracted driving simulator.
Students who tried it out walked away thinking twice about texting behind the wheel.
"I'm still shaking because just the feel, like, that could have been real. I could have died just from a single text," said Peter Rideout, a senior at Westerville South High School.
Ohio's new texting and driving ban goes into effect Friday.
