Bicyclist Struck Near Port Columbus

A bicyclist was recovering after being struck by a car near Port Columbus International Airport early Monday morning.

The northbound lanes of Hamilton Road were closed near Sawyer Road during the investigation.

Emergency crews were on the scene of the crash around 5:15 a.m. The identities of those involved were not released.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene.

The events leading to the crash were under investigation. The road was reopened by 7:30 a.m.
